About Me

This month’s picture--another of my favorites! Fifteen years of pictures on my computer, about a hundred trips to Latin America, thousands of pictures. With travel restricted and fewer new pictures available, I share some of my favorites! [Click picture to enlarge.]

Ministry and mission work is a team effort -- Jan and I have shared ministry and mission work for over 52 years! Countless people have encouraged us, supported us, loved us, and prayed for us. In addition to the customary "Brother Bob" or "Hermano Bob," I am also known as dad and papa (or papaw). One of my favorite breakfasts is huevos fritos, frijoles, and tortillas, with hot sauce and a cup of rich Colombian coffee! The greatest joy of my life is being part of the kingdom; my #1 priority is to advance "kingdom things" and to help develop authentic "kingdom people." I seek to share the good news about Jesus everywhere I go, helping people find Jesus and helping people mature as disciples of Jesus. One of the greatest blessings of my life is to be loved by people around the world!

About Sermon Manuscripts and Outlines

Several difficulties exist in publishing sermon materials in written form. First, materials intended for oral delivery seldom have the same impact in written form. Second, even with generally complete sermon manuscripts, the written materials seldom reflect the exact content of the oral presentation. Materials are often added or deleted during the sermon. Third, some the notes available on this site are in an abbreviated manuscript form which I developed through the years, at times difficult to decipher and often in complete. Fourth, materials and illustrations are borrowed from a variety of sources in developing materials intended for oral delivery. Original sources are often lost. Publishing sermons originally intended only for oral presentation may not give adequate credit to those sources. When such sources are made known and verified, credit will be given.
