Dear God, it seems that somewhere in our world there are continually wars and rumors of wars. It seems that human nature maintains our world in constant battle and war. We pray for the peace that only you can bring. We also ask your care and your purpose in the lives of those who fight the wars.
Perhaps we pray selfishly, or without the grander picture of how you are bringing your will and way into our world, but we pray expecially for troops and allies who risk their lives for freedom. Go before them, beside them, and behind them and guide their every step. Give them wisdom and protection. Our desire is that they come safely home. May Your will be accomplished through them. Bless them and their families at home who are also sacrificing for the sake of freedom and a better life for others. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
