People become receptive during times of high stress.
How respond to stress and problems.
- 1. Admit we are powerless over our problems when we try to handle them alone.
- 2. Believe that God can help us.
- 3. Celebrate the care of God.
- 4. Search and define ourselves with a moral inventory.
- 5. Expose the exact nature of our sins.
- 6. Find and focus on God as the one who can remove our defects/sins.
- 7. Humbly ask God to remove our problems--grace.
- 8. Make a list of hurts--our own and the people we have hurt. Make things right with the people we have injured.
- 9. Continue to take daily inventory of your life and promptly admit mistakes.
- 10. Resolve to become more and more like Jesus.
