Several readers have commented on the need for a website upgrade at the church. I am glad to report that the upgrade is almost complete, with a new design and fresh (and constantly updated) information.
If you have not dropped by recently, I encourage you to click the link below, visit us again, and take another look at the church I call home–where I am blessed to serve, with lots of opportunities for growth, ministry, and mission work, and a ‘mini-lab’ where some of my (wildest?) ideas first germinate and take shape. Check out the “resources” page if you would like to see some of what we are doing in adult education and small groups.

Hey, Bob! I was looking for your contact info and found you at McAlester! Congrats on your new position there! I am very happy for you and Jan–and especially for the brethren at McAlester b/c I know how blessed they are to have you two there working with them. May God bless all of you (and all of us) in peace and unity in Christ Jesus!
I’m putting a friend of mine, Mark Legg, in touch with you. He recently resigned from his position as preacher and an elder at the El Reno COC, and is looking for another place he might help on a part-time basis (not sure if he is planning to volunteer or looking for pay). I told him about your transition ministry and that you might be a god person to speak to about congregations with needs he might be able to fill. Mark is a godly man, a former missionary to Zimbabwe for many years and a faithful servant of the Lord and His Gospel. He will be a tremendous blessing whereever he goes. I’m trying to talk him into coming to join us here! Anyway, you will be blessed to know him. Thanks in advance for any help you can give this good brother.
Grace, peace and love to you and Jan and our brothers in McAlester,
Steve
Thanks, Steve,
Samantha and I hooked up on Plaxo a while ago, and I get the 29Y bulletin by email regularly.
We have been helping here–either interim ministry, and then eventually full time for almost 2 years.
I know Mark (in fact, was with him yesterday at a luncheon in OKC). I am sure the elders will be happy to visit with those who can help us move kingdom things forward.
