A 2004 survey, Caregiving in the U.S., conducted by the National Alliance for Caregiving and AARP, found that 75% of respondents indicated that they used prayer to deal with the demands of caregiving. In comparison, 61% said they consulted friends or relatives, 44% read books about caregiving, 41% used exercise to work off the stress of their job, and 33% sought information online and from other caregivers. Respondents could choose more than one response.
