I think my friend, Bob Owen, is a thinker. I stole part of this from him. Christians must be thinkers. This is not statute. This is Solomon, Jesus, Paul, God.

Men must think about the evidence in order to see God. Thought precedes faith. Repentance is literally to think again. How can we change our lives and hearts if we do not rethink life? How will we grow without thoughtfully determining direction? How will we discern good and evil without thinking?

I challenge us to thinking! How can the church grow? What will help us become and remain faithful? Who will lead? Thinkers!

The great need in the church is for thinkers. Who will teach our kids to think? Think for yourself. Think independently. Strong Christians, faithful men and women accept the responsibility to be before God as a priest. Study the Book. Think about the Word. Process the information. Men and women who study and think about their responsibility accept that responsibility. Thinkers have a godly concern for the lost. Thinkers discover their mission.

Are you, am I, are we, men and women of God who by reason of time have grown up in the likeness of Jesus, not accidentally, but because it was our pursuit? Are lives driven by purpose and respect for God?

You can't be spiritual of faithful without thinking about your condition. Thinkers serve; non-thinkers shirk. Some better think fast. Thank you, Bob, for helping me think.
