"What the mind can conceive and believe, one can achieve." This statement has been called the CBAs of success. Do you believe it? If it is true, every church growth problem is one of conception. We will never do more than we think we can. We will never do more than we plan to do. We will never reach higher than we think we can.

WE MUST CONCEIVE! To have a great work for God, we must see the possibility, dream the dream, have the vision. To fail to plan is to plan to fail. We must plan the work and work the plan. Ultimately, it will be necessary for many of us to catch the vision and dream the dream. What are our goals? Can they be accomplished?
What do you conceive for the next 10 years? 20 years? We are a people prone to labeling. This is a "decade of decision" or "decade of opportunity." What do you see? We must conceive.

WE MUST BELIEVE! Once we conceive an evangelistic, growing church, once we see a good teaching program, once we envision an effective outreach in this community, once we conceive a fruitful missions effort reaching around the world with the message of Jesus, we must believe it. It can be done! Many great ideas wither and die on drawing boards because those who give ideas birth grow afraid, turn back, and quit. The fear and faithlessness of the Israelites kept away from the plenty of Palestine for 40 years. They did not believe God could or would do it! Faith is the issue. We must believe before God can use us in mighty ways for him.

WE MUST ACHIEVE! Dreams and faith alone will not accomplish the will and purpose of God. We must be willing to work to achieve God's eternal purpose. It is fun to dream and conceive. It is necessary to believe. But it takes work, dedication, and commitment to achieve. Faith (belief) without works is dead. Belief leads to action. Do we believe? Let us then busy ourselves working in teaching, local outreach, missions, visitation, evangelism, planning, caring, sharing, and spiritual growth so that God can bless our efforts.

"He that hath a dream, let him tell it" (Jer. 23:28). Let us share our dreams for growth, missions, a missionary on the field. Let us share our dream--multitudes baptized into Jesus Christ! God wants 6+ billions saved. Every effort we undertake should work toward that goal. We must conceive and believe. Then with God's help, we will achieve in a great and glorious way for him!
