"Personal evangelism requires much of the one involved. It is a commitment to the Lord and His Word. Personal evangelism is more than a good memory, a set method, and a handful of good contacts. There are four keys which will help you develop in this important work."

  • Aspiration: We cannot convert others without a strong love and desire for the Word of God. "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled" (Matt. 5:6).

  • Determination: We must decide to succeed if we are to be effective in personal evangelism. This means success in our own Christian life as well as success in converting others. We should exhort one another "to remain true to the Lord with all our hearts" (Acts 11:23).

  • Concentration: No one can succeed in life who scatters too much. "But this one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus" (Phil. 3:13,14)

  • Perseverance: Do not give up; stick to the job until it is done. "He who stands firm to the end shall be saved" (Matt. 24:13).

There is no greater work in the world than winning souls to the Lord!
